Terms of Service
These terms govern access to xHalo accounts, Story, Mail, Chat, developer tools, and other services that link to them.

1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, signing in, or using an xHalo service, you agree to these Terms. If you use xHalo for an organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into this agreement.
2. Your account
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Google and Microsoft sign-in are optional authentication methods. Their terms also apply when you choose those providers.
3. Services and workspaces
xHalo provides connected writing, communication, content, developer, and AI-assisted tools. Features may differ by product, plan, region, or release stage.
You are responsible for the projects, messages, files, prompts, settings, API keys, and other material you submit or make available through the services.
4. Your content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you create and submit. You grant xHalo a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the services you request.
You must have the rights needed to submit content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of xHalo software, branding, documentation, or service technology to you.
5. AI-assisted features
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Review output before relying on, publishing, or acting on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-impact decisions.
Do not present generated output as human-authored or authoritative when that would mislead others. You remain responsible for your use of prompts, retrieved material, and output.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use xHalo to break the law; infringe rights; distribute malware; bypass security or usage limits; scrape or probe without permission; send spam; impersonate others; facilitate abuse; or create material that exploits children.
Do not interfere with service integrity, reverse engineer protected systems except where law permits, or use automated access outside documented APIs and limits.
7. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties such as Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, hosting providers, and linked websites. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
xHalo is not responsible for third-party content or services that it does not control, but we choose and review providers in proportion to the role they perform.
8. Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, improve the services, or manage operational risk. We will provide reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects an active paid service where practicable.
Beta, preview, and experimental features may change or stop without notice and may have additional limitations.
9. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using xHalo at any time and may request account deletion through available settings or support. We may restrict or suspend access to protect users or systems, investigate abuse, comply with law, or address a material breach.
Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate backup rotation.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every result will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, xHalo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill resulting from use of the services.
11. Governing rules and disputes
Applicable law governs these Terms without limiting mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
12. Contact and changes to these Terms
Contact support@xhalo.co with questions or legal notices. We may update these Terms as the services or law change. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate.
